Andrew Kennelly is a seasoned and versatile expert in marketing research, with "hands on" expertise in a wide range of research methods applied in a diverse assortment of consumer and B2B categories.
Prior to founding RiverTrail Research & Insights in September 2021, Andrew held marketing research and consumer insights positions, including leadership roles, for 28 years with a number of "A-List" marketing research agencies and Fortune 100 companies, inclusive of Burke Inc., The Coca-Cola Company, Kantar, Chevron, and Microsoft.
Andrew holds an M.S. in Marketing Research from the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Analytics and Insights at the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Business. He also holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin.
Andrew grew up in Madison, WI and is currently proud to call Redmond, WA (a suburb of Seattle) home. He has lived in 11 states and lived and worked professionally in Shanghai, China for two years.
Andrew likes being outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, often hiking (frequently with his black lab Mei Mei) and biking. He also enjoys travel, cooking, maps, many kinds of puzzles, a number of podcasts, television from the 1970s and 80s, personal fitness, and living an active lifestyle. He is a member of Mensa and the Triple Nine Society.
Market research appeals to him as a profession because it is well-suited to his natural curiosity, his keen interest in what people do and why they do it, his strengths in data analysis, the enjoyment he gets from solving puzzles, and his love of sharing knowledge with those who can make use of it.
